Residential Hall and Front Desk Management
Under the direct supervision of the assigned Associate Director of Residential Education, the individual will:
Assists the Residence Hall Coordinator in the overall management of the residence hall complex.
Participates and assists in facilitating training in August and January prior to hall openings, as well as ongoing trainings and development opportunities as needed.
Manages the desk operation, to ensure security and customer service.
Attends in-hall team meetings held on Tuesdays as needed and assist in facilitation.
Residential Education Programming and Development
Actively promotes the concept of community in the halls and encourage residents to take responsibility for positive and assertive behavior within that community.
Assists in the planning and execution of departmental and campus-wide events and programs.
Attends department-wide meetings and professional development sessions.
Serves on at least two REO departmental committees.
Student Engagement in the Office of the Dean of Students
Assists with providing student advisement and guidance in individual and group settings.
Assists with the development and implementation of individualized academic progress plans and student engagement plans for students.
Assists with identifying students who are at risk of dismissal and provide advising.
Provides students with information related to University academic requirements, procedures, and policies.
